ESSEXstreetdiversions is the International Festival of Outdoor Arts that us becoming an annual event in Chelmsford. This year is takes place on Saturday 30th October 2010, from 1.00pm from 7.00pm (tbc) in Chelmsford town centre. It is a Free Event promoted by Chelmsford Borough Council.
This is the eighth successive year for the free showcase of high quality and diverse international street theatre. For a change this year, the festival displays a split personality – as the usual absurdity of the performances are followed by a darker side. During the daylight hours there is the familiar theme – mixing the mundane with the bizarre.
Then, as twilight descends on the town, the mood and theme changes as the veil between this world and the next becomes thin. With spooky surprises aplenty, you may need to hold your loved ones a little tighter. No doubt the egg heads will be back!
